DOUBT DOUBT DOUBT

Hey guys!! Father's Day was yesterday!! And this picture above really made my day!!!
And also Darth Vader's tweets on Twitter were neurotically epic!!!
Check them out here! http://www.twitter.com/darthvader/favorites

Anyways...I've been some doubts recently...
And I was thinking...who in this world doesn't doubt?
I am proud to admit that at times...I doubt a lot...and I do mean A LOT...
Like...there was this one time when I was on duty to look after 3-6 yr old kids during church service...this boy shared a testimony of how he prayed to God when he was lost in the mall and then his parents found him...
So inside my heart I was asking God "Really? Did he pray?"
Or even more specifically..."CAN he pray? Since he's like...5..."
And God just repeated said "Sean, do not doubt. Sean, do not doubt."
But I couldn't help it...I DOUBTED... *gasp*
But when that boy finished sharing his testimony, he walked over to me and said this...

"I REALLY PRAYED!! I NEVER LIE!!"

I was shocked.
How did he know?

Did you tell him that...God?

Or did he read my expression?

And just recently, there was loads of internet fury about City Harvest...
Again...I doubted in my heart...
"Are they really doing this God?"
"Or is it just persecution?"

Somehow...I felt the Holy Spirit telling me it's persecution...
And I was yet again surprised..
Persecution against Christians in Singapore...
I felt comforted by what the Holy Spirit said...but can't help it but DOUBT A LITTLE...

To add onto the paranoia...I was beginning to doubt others too...
Insecurities and paranoia can really stir up lots of doubt...
But I constantly ask God to keep me...and not let me doubt...
But it's only human to doubt right?
I mean...

ARE YOU GULLIBLE?
TO BELIEVE EVERYTHING WHOLESALE? 100%?

OR

YOU TRUST OTHERS BECAUSE YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEM?
YOU GAVE THEM YOUR TRUST...JUST AS THEY HAVE GIVEN YOU THEIRS?

"I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that God is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him."

SOMETIMES WE FORGET...

Hey guys!! I'm finally back to blogging!!
Changed template...skin and rearranged some nonsense here and there...
But all in all...I've changed the concept of this blog...
Okay so here's a little bit of something I was working on some time now...when I was free...
It's a poem entitled "Sometimes we forget"...
It's basically an inaccurate summary of things that we forget...and the reasons behind them...

SOMETIMES WE FORGET...
Sometimes we forget who God is,
Because we fit Him into whom we want Him to be.

Sometimes we forget our happiness,
Because our joy has been robbed.

Sometimes we forget the sound of laughter,
Because our ears cannot receive what we cannot give.

Sometimes we forget the joy we have shared,
Because that joy did not last forever.

Sometimes we forget what we are angry at,
Because the frustration itself is what we remember.

Sometimes we forget why we cry,
Because the tears from our eyes have blinded us.

Sometimes we forget who our closest friends are,
Because we were always finding them.

Sometimes we forget the people whom we have met,
Because they were simply forgotten-just.like.that.

Sometimes we forget who helped us,
Because we are just so prideful.

Sometimes we forget that attracting attention is harmful,
Because we are repelling people’s respect for us.

Sometimes we forget to be nice and kind,
Because we think being sarcastic and snarky makes us more intellectual.

Sometimes we forget that we are young adults,
Because being a child is so liberating and carefree.

Sometimes we forget our purpose and destiny,
Because the world has caught up to us.

Sometimes we forget to take off our masks,
Because we fit so well into those roles.

Sometimes we forget who we are,
Because we were trying to be who we aren’t.

Well...a poem's a poem...and not everyone is as expressive as Picasso...
Gonna blog more often now...as promised...
