Oh finally...
I'm willing to type out part 2...

Ok...I'll cut it short....real short...

DAY 3
Did more work...
Watched 1 more video around late afternoon...
I literally wrote down what the people in the video said....
WORD FOR WORD...

DAY 4
The best day ever!
Finally finished work!
Got the rest of the afternoon free...
When to friends' room to play DOTA...
Played and chit-chat....
When swimming in pool downstairs...
Then hopped over to another pool with a water slide near the golf course...

At night stayed up late playing card games like Heart Attack....
Played Polar Bear and chit-chat...
Returned to room with rommie at 2am!!!

Woke up next day for checking out and return to S'pore!!

DAY 5: CLOSING CEREMONY
Yes like finally!!
Last day of poly forum!

Bused back to S'pore with sub-theme mates...
Arrived back in SP in late afternoon...
Chilled out in SP's fast food canteen with friends...
Ate catered dinner at 5 plus...
Helped out with the decos for my sub-theme...

Entered auditorium for closing ceremony at 7pm...
All the sub-themes presented their thingys....
I think sub-theme 3's video was the best...
They totally explained about the Recession using cartoon paper drawings....cool!!

The Minister liked our ideas...
Had a Q&A session...
I think I slept for a while during it...
Super tired...

After closing ceremony...went out to collect back luggage and said BYE to everyone I know...

MRTed home with some friends at around 10 plus...
Mum fetched me at Tamp MRT and drove me home...

Yup...tat's all about the poly forum thingy...

POLY FORUM: IN PULAI SPRINGS PART 1

Hey all blogreaders!!!

Finally back from JB, Pulai Springs after the poly forum 2009...

It was a really fun time there and the resort thingy was kinda great....
Ok...so let's skip the boring details and I'll highlight the interesting parts of the poly forum...

DAY 1 and 2

Took RP bus to SP...changed bus and took the SP bus to Tuas....
I felt tat it's kinda weird to go to Dover from Woodlands and back to Woodlands again....

Used my new biometric passport for the first time at the S'pore Immigration Checkpoint...
Reached the resort (country club...wadever) in just 1 hour after we left S'pore...
I didn't know it was so near....
Had buffet lunch in this big tent near the hotel...
Apparently the hotel doesn't have a ballroom for all 300 of us to eat in...

Ate lunch with my teammates and other friends...
Made some new friends from NYP and TP...

Split up into other specific teams to do multimedia shit...
I spent the whole afternoon from 2-5pm converting videos into MP4 format...
Then while converting...slacked a bit and chit-chat with friends in Collaterals team...

Played "Get-to-know-the-resort" amazing race in a team of 25 fun people...
Ran around playing meaningless games like solving riddles and charades....
In the end...we won and were the 1st team to be able to collect our room keys...
But sadly the faci changed his mind and instead we all split into sub-themes to collect it...

I was very nervous about getting to know my roommates...
Ended up to room with 6 other people...7 in 1 nice big suite...
We had 3 rooms...2 toilets and a small kitchen...
And the room was all the way at the end of hotel rooms...
It was the last room too...room 538A...

We split up the 3 rooms into 3, 2 and 2 in each room...
I was supposed to be in the room with 3 people...but then changed coz one guy left to join another room...
So in the end we became 2 to each room...
Then my ex-teammate joined our room coz his roommates were too quiet for him...
They didn't switch on the TV....and just used their laptop silently in a corner....sad!!!
So our room became 3,2 and 2 again...

Went down for buffet dinner again at 7...sat with same friends as lunch
Split up to do work again at 8 till 9.30pm...converting videos...

Spent first night staying up till 12.30 to finish converting videos while chit-chatting with roomies and watching S'porean shows on TV....



Woke up at 7.30 the next day (DAY 2 now)
Went down with roomies for buffet breakfast at 8...

Had breakfast with TP people who were roomies' friends...I was the only RP guy there...
BTW...my roomies are 4 TP people...1 SP...1 NYP and 1 RP person...

After breakfast....had to do work again...
Helped find "happy music" for our final video presentation till lunch-time...
Bitched about how I spent my morning to my friends during 7-course lunch...
They had a lot of fun cutting paper and doing deco for the closing ceremony...
I should have joined them...

After lunch did work again till 4pm...
There were games at 4 but almost everyone skipped it...
I skipped it too and returned to hotel room to play card games with roomies and their friends...
Played "Tai-ti"....Cheat...Maths and Pig....

Went down for dinner at 7pm as usual...
Bitched about wad I did again....
Went back to do work at 8 till 9.30 again...this time watching other people's interviews...without earpieces...so I kinda played it a bit too loudly...

Went back to room and played with roomies again...till 1.30 and then slept...
Oh and we also ordered M'sian Mac Delivery...I ordered the expensive McNuggets for R$5.60...
Super expensive and by the time it reached...it was soggy and not crispy...
And wad's worse....we had to pay 7% GST and 10% service charge...

Ate and then slept....
Had more fun than Day 1...oh and I regretted not bringing my camera...
Couldn't take pics to put up here...
So I'll just get them from friends instead...
Part 2 of Poly Forum should be out soon...hopefully by tomorrow...

SO LAZY TO BLOG...

FABULOUS UNPUNCTUAL 1ST DAY!!

Haiyo....
It's the 1st day of poly forum...and I was late!!
The whole bus of RP people were practically waiting for me!!!
I was supposed to reach there by 7.30am...but 168 came late and I reached at 8.10 instead...
Talk about awkwardness....I had to quickly wear the green RP polo tee over my tee coz I forgot to wear it!!

And thanks to me...we were a bit late for the opening ceremony...we reached at 9.10 instead of 9am...
Ugghhh.....bad bad start....
But thankfully it was a really fun day...

We started off with weird games at SP's field...
Played this game called "Captains on Deck"...
We had to follow the commander and get into teams to do stuff...
Like when the captain said "Row your boat".....
We had to form a group of 4 and row our boat in a line...
Kinda lame...but it was fun to see us all going mad about it....

Then we played "Squrriels and trees"...
I was like...the squrriel for most of the time...
TYPICAL....

Hahaha!! But I really enjoyed myself...and made some new friends as well...
Had 1 and half hour lunch....after tat bonded and chatted with some RP people...
And I found out tat there were two guys who are classmates...
They called themselves "Charles and Keith"...u know...the shop tat sells shoes??
Coz their names are really Charles and Keith!!!
HAH!!! It sounds kinda cool but when they say it...it sounds lame...hahaha!!
And I was always sitting inbetween them...so I called myself "And"...

Funny people...hahaha!!
And then we went into our own sub-themes...
And in our own sub-themes...we were broken into 4 groups...answering 4 qns...
I was in the 4th team...and the question was....

"What is the role of youths in defining Singapore's cultural identity?"

Seriously...it's really hard to brainstorm about....
And in our own 4th team doing this 4th qns...we had to break up into further small teams to do our brainstorming and answering this question...
So it's like...
A smaller team in a small team...
Like...my team is 1/4 of a pie and the pie is the 4th pie in a tray of pies....and the 4 pies are apple-flavoured while others are diff flavoured....

Kinda confusing....

LOOKING FORWARD TO POLY FORUM

Hell ya!!
It's finally tomorrow!!
The poly forum 2009 starts tomorrow!!!

In case u're wondering wad this forum is...
It's kinda like this event where poly students gather to discuss "important issues and that will impact youths today and help create a change" or something...
Yeah and I kinda signed up for it in sch when they emailed everyone about it...
And I think I'm one of the few year 1s who signed up for such crap eh?

But u gotta admit...it sounds way cool and fun!!!
We're going to M'sia for 3 days...staying in a resort doing nothing but research and presentation preparation....
Yes I know it's boring but it sounds kinda fun to get to know other poly students....

And tomorrow...we're gonna play bonding games!!!
But I really dunno who's on my team...so hopefully I get to know them tomorrow at SP...

I'm sooo gonna do something nice to this blog....
I feel tat it's VERY VERY VERY VERY plain leh.....

Oh and lemons are pretty good....

ICE CREAM AND GAMES ON T1 ROOF TERRACE

1st Sept was a fun day!!!

And yes...I blogged about it 2 days after it happened...lazy....

So anyways I met up with some of my P6 classmates on Tues for class reunion...

We went to Swensens for ice cream and we kinda like took 30 mins just to order??

It's all thanks to the waitress lah...tat aunty waitress....

After we ordered....THEN she showed us the ice cream promotions....2 for $9.80....which was so worthwhile we decided to order more exp ones....

Then when she took the order...a waiter came by an said tat they were "out of macademia nuts" coz one of my friends ordered the Macademia Mania....

When he changed it to another ice cream...the same guy came back and said tat they were "out of macademia ice cream"....so my friend ordered another ice cream....

It's really rare to to experience shortage of macademia stuff eh??

Then when we had our ice cream...all of us were busy munching and chatting away about our lives...

Everyone had lots to say about sec sch life....hectic JC life...murderous poly life and unholy MI life...

And then we talked about our pri sch life...and tat brought back loads of fun childhood memories and childhood sweetheart scandals...hahahah!!!

Then we started messing with the leftovers of our ice cream...and it was DISGUSTING!!! HAHAHA!!! I should have taken a pic....but it looked kinda like tartar sauce mixed with some brownies...ice cream...ice...salt...pepper...chilli sauce and a cherry...

After tat...we wanted to go watch movie...but one of my friends did not have enough money and the movies tat were showing weren't tat great...except for M18 "Final Destination 4"....

So instead we decided to go to T1's roof terrace to sit and chit chat...and so we did...

We talked again about pri sch stuff....how we saw some ex-classmates coincidentally....and then we played games to kill time!!

Talk about sporting...we played Truth or Dare!! And yes...everyone did dare!!!

It was sooo hilarious!!!

And talk about dares and double dares...

One of my friends dared another guy to say hi to a couple's baby...

And I was dragged into a dare...

I had to shout "I love you" to some strangers...

Another girl had to say hi to those strangers I shouted to...

After that we played murderer without cards....

The "winking process" was very comical...and some of my friends didn't know tat they died!!

Then we played charades from 7-8pm...

And we split into Boys vs Girls for charades...and we came up with loads of random stuff!!

And we chose a person from the other team to act out the word...and their expressions were priceless!!!

I couldn't believe tat the action for Transformers was doing a "door closing" sign at ur face...as performed by my friend....

I really should have taken a video of it!! Ughhhh....

Anyways we all went off at 8.30pm and I rushed to Popular to buy some stuff for my bro...

And tat was a fun day....
